Oo-ah, me hearties

Cutlasses and crowns were waving today when children at Kids 1st Darlington did their bit for charity!

The children of Kids 1st Nursery, West Park, raised money for nearby St Teresa’s Hospice by coming in dressed as princesses and pirates (and in one instance, a pirate princess)! March 20th and 21st saw over 40 of our children join in with the fun!

The fancy dress day was inspired by Alison Dixon, who is organising a year of fundraising activities in memory of her mother Judith Booth, all in aid of the Hospice.

When we learned about Alison’s efforts, we were keen to get on board, and the children were even more enthusiastic!

So far the total is raised is nearly £1,000 and counting!
