Little farmers at Kids 1st Wansbeck

Over the past few weeks are children at Kids 1st Wansbeck have been learning all about nature and the outdoors. The children loved hearing all about insect life cycles and how caterpillars transform into butterflies.

The staff bought a butterfly kit so the children could observe the fascinating changes a caterpillar goes through. The children took it in turns to help look after their new ‘pets’ and even helped feed them. They were very excited to come in one day to find the caterpillars had emerged from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies fluttering around in their little home!

Our children also really enjoyed learning about plants and how they grow. They had so much fun staff decided to create a fantastic indoor garden and vegetable patch for the children to play with. They have all been pretending to be farmers, tending to their veg patches and looking after their plants!
