Kids 1st Rake Lane achieves second outstanding Ofsted report!

This week Kids 1st Rake Lane is celebrating after achieving their second outstanding Ofsted inspection.

Kids 1st Rake Lane, located in the grounds of North Tyneside General Hospital, was judged as outstanding in every category and has been given a huge amount of positive feedback from Ofsted. Inspector, Janice Caryl, described the quality of teaching as outstanding and the indoor and outdoor areas as vibrant and stimulating. She was particularly impressed with the children’s excellent progress in their learning and development, the exceptional partnerships between parents and staff and the individualised care that the nursery provides to each child.

Carole Robinson, who has been Nursery Manager at Kids 1st Rake Lane for 11 years, is incredibly proud of her team’s achievement, she said: “At Kids 1st Rake Lane we are a family and we work as a team to develop the nursery to provide the best care and education for the children. To see that it has been recognised by Ofsted is fantastic.”

This outstanding Ofsted report is the thirteenth for Kids 1st, who have recently celebrated another outstanding success with Rake Lane’s sister nursery, Kids 1st Wansbeck.

Allison Winship, Head of Childcare, said: “This is a great achievement for the team at Kids 1st Rake Lane; it is very difficult to achieve an outstanding Ofsted report and we would like to thank the whole team for their commitment to providing the highest quality of care.

It has been a pleasure to work with the inspirational staff team at Rake Lane over the last eleven years; the nursery has continued to go from strength-to-strength and it is very rewarding to hear the success stories of the children that have been to the nursery over the years.”
