Kids 1st Jesmond raising money for NECCR

This year Kids 1st Jesmond are supporting the North of England Children’s Cancer Research fund (NECCR) by raising money for the charity. The NECCR is a North East children’s charity that first formed by a group of parents whose families and lives had been affected by childhood cancer.

A whopping 15 members of staff have dedicated their spare time and days off to take part in the Children’s Cancer Run. The event will take place at Gosforth Park on Sunday the 21st of May.

Everyone at Kids 1st Jesmond are hoping to raise lots of money to support the charity, as it is a cause that is close to many people’s hearts. In addition to this staff are planning their very own children’s run around the nursery grounds for all of the children to take part as well. The nursery run is set to happen in June, with each child who has permission to take part will receive a certificate after the event. Any children who are not walking yet will still be able to take part in the event, as members of staff will be on hand to help push the children in their buggies – so they don’t miss out!

Parents who would like to sponsor us are welcome to sign up on one of our sponsor forms that will be places on doors of each nursery room. Any sponsorship would be gratefully appreciated.
