Graduation Show Review: Quorum’s Julia Donaldson Mash Up

The children at Kids 1st Quorum recently underwent a transformation; becoming a group of wild animals for a fun-filled performance of some of Julia Donaldson’s amazing stories. The show was performed four times in July and was a great success, enjoyed by both children and parents alike.

Against a fantastically crafted woodland backdrop, there was also lots of singing and dancing along to favourites old and new, with Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ being particular highlights. The Grufallo even managed a piece of improvisation by walking the whole way around the audience during one of the songs!

Max’s Dad, Eddie, thought that the show was “superb” and that he will “never read Julia Donaldson the same way again!”, while Melissa was brought to tears by the ‘fab’ performance and special occasion.

We must admit that the children’s show inspired mixed emotions for us at Kids 1st, since we are sad that this marks a final send-off as the children graduate to ‘big’ school, but we are also hugely excited for them at this transitional period of their lives. We’re sure they will all have great fun, and we hope to see them all again in the future!
