What did you want to be when you were younger?
I have always enjoyed looking after others and I knew I wanted to work with children, so this seemed like the perfect career choice for me.

What made you want to be a Senior Nursery Nurse?
From the minute I joined Kids 1st I wanted to develop my skills and progress within my job. I have always enjoyed taking on new responsibilities and I love seeing what each challenge brings!

What is a typical day like?
Every day is different and I love it! I look forward to seeing what each day brings. Helping the children to learn and develop their personalities is always a big part of each day.

What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job has to be getting to watch all the children develop and progress. It makes me feel so proud and lucky to have the opportunity to help them grow – I love my job!

What is your favourite children’s book?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar – I just love the concept of the story and it’s very fun to read to the children.

What is your favourite children’s film?
My favourite children’s film was (and still is!) Matilda. When I was little I wanted to be just like Miss Honey. I watched this so many times as a child, I know it word for word…

What is your favourite animal and why?
This is a tough one – it changes all of the time! I love going to zoo’s and sea-life centres. At the moment I would have to say I love seals and stingrays… I can’t choose one!

What is your top childcare tip?
Organisation is the key!
